Ladakh is a region administered by India as a union territory and constitutes an eastern portion of the larger Kashmir region that has been the subject of a dispute between India and Pakistan since 1947 and India and China since 1959.

Tour Plan
Arrival Leh in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Full day of rest for acclimatization to
the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Overnight in hotel.
After breakfast visit Shey Palace, Sindhu Ghats & Thiksey Monastery. Post lunch proceed
for sightseeing of Hall of Fame (museum of Military heritage & local culture), Kali Mata
(Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point and
Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar rivers). Overnight in hotel.
Early departure for Pangong Lake (approx. 150 kms), via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft./
5486 meters)-3rd highest motorable pass in the world. Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.) is
4-5 kms wide and about 140 kms long, of which about two-third lies on the other side of
the Indo-China border. After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh, reaching in
the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft), world’s
highest motorable road. After descending from the pass, drive on to Hunder / Deskit
(headquarters of Nubra Valley) and check in at a fixed camp or hotel. Rest of the day at
leisure to explore the area at your own pace. Overnight in fixed camp at Hunder or hotel
at Deskit
In the morning explore Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short
camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional). Thereafter
return to Leh to reach in the late afternoon, enroute visiting the dramatically located 15th
century Deskit monastery. Overnight at the hotel.
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
