Overview
Assam is a state in northeastern India known for its wildlife, archeological sites and tea plantations. In the west, Guwahati, Assam’s largest city, features silk bazaars and the hilltop Kamakhya Temple. Umananda Temple sits on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra river. The state capital, Dispur, is a suburb of Guwahati. The ancient pilgrimage site of Hajo and Madan Kamdev, the ruins of a temple complex, lie nearby.

Arrival at Guwahati & transfer to Shillong. Often called the ‘Scotland of the East’, Shillong has lots to
discover from lakes to hills to the jaw dropping waterfalls. En route, stop at Barapani Lake for some
amazing view & water activities. On arrival at Shillong, check in to the hotel. Afternoon time free for
personal activity. Overnight stay at Shillong.
After Breakfast, move towards Mawlynnong & Dawki River. Visit to Mawlynnong village in the East
Khasi Hills, famous for its cleanliness and natural attraction. Enjoy the scenic beauty with the lash of
Greenery and enjoy a walk over the Living Root Bridge surrounding the place. Experience the crystal
water boating at Dawki River. Return back to Shillong & time free for leisure. Overnight stay at
Shillong.
After breakfast, move to Cherrapunjee. Next visit to Cherrapunjee local sightseeing. Cherrapunjee is
considered as one of the wettest place on Earth. Enjoy the scenic beauty on the way to
Cherrapunjee. Enjoy the trip with visit to Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Arwah
Cave, Eco Park and ![]()
Thangkharang Park. Evening return back & time free for leisure. Overnight stay
at Shillong.
Morning after breakfast, check out from hotel & transfer to Guwahati. If time permits, afternoon
visit to Basistha Ashram, Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra, ‘Jagran’ store for authentic Assamese
silks & handicrafts. Evening at leisure or experience the River Cruise on Brahmaputra (Pre booking
only). Overnight stay at Guwahati.
After breakfast check out from hotel and drop at Guwahati Airport / Railway station as per timings.
